Contractor mining sand illegally from pond in Taman Wahyu

Illegal activities: Contractor is supposed to be removing silt and rubbish from the pond instead of mining sand.

A CONTRACTOR hired to remove silt and rubbish from a pond in Taman Wahyu, Kuala Lumpur, is allegedly stealing sand instead.

The contractor has made a borehole measuring 17m deep in the pond to extract sand to sell. The silt and rubbish have not been removed.
