Tight squeeze: Chong showing the lift at the Impian Seri Setia flats that can barely fit six adults. The 17-storey building with 476 units houses a population of more than 4,000 people.
THERE are only 476 units in the Impian Seri Setia flats in Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya, but residents have to deal with a population of more than 4,000 people within the building.
Joint Management Body (JMB) chairman Oh Loke Hooi, 57, said many of the units within the flats have been rented out to workers from a nearby manufacturing factory and some units measuring 650 sq ft could be housing up to 15 people.
