Littering creeps into society to become a norm

Street of rubbish: Sweepers having a hard time cleaning up before the shops open for business. The picture was taken about 7am in the morning. The rubbish was from the pasar malam the night before.

LITTERING is fast becoming a norm in the Malaysian society, and the scene after the night market along Jalan Dato Tahwil Azhar in the city is testimony of this.

The entire street resembled a garbage dump and the Ipoh City Council workers had a tough time cleaning up the place daily.
