HFMD cases still below outbreak level, says department


KUCHING: Cases of hand, foot and mouth disease (HMFD) in the state have decreased and remained below the outbreak and warning levels last week.

The number of new cases reported this week (from Aug 19 to 24) was 111 compared to 138 in the previous week — a decline of about 19.6%, said a statement from the state’s Health Department.
