KUALA LUMPUR Fencing Centre (KLFC) coach Mohd Zainal Abidin was forced to go through another strenuous battle in guiding his charges at the Allstar Air Force Cadet (Under-17) and junior (Under-20) Fencing Cup at the Royal Thai Air Force Academy in Bangkok recently.
Despite the joy of seeing both Tristan Cheng and Brittni Tye surviving stiff tests to advance to the semi-finals of the boys’ and girls’ cadet foil, Zainal had a tough time in devoting his total attention to keep an eye on the duo especially during the crucial stages in the quarter-finals.
