Two drive away in BMWs and three receive Proton Inspiras

BANK Islam Malaysia Bhd handed the keys to two BMW 320i(s) and three Proton Inspira(s) to the main winners of its “Spend & Win” campaign at a celebration ceremony held at Menara Bank Islam in Kuala Lumpur.

The campaign, which ran for six months from Jan 1 to June 30, gave all existing and new Bank Islam Mastercard/Visa cardmembers, (principal & supplementary) the opportunity to win one of two BMW 320i M Sport and three Proton Inspira 1.8 CVT cars.

The winners for the BMW cars were Mahdzir Md Sirat @ Md Siraj from Skudai, Johor and Hadijah Uda Mat Dris of Kampung Gajah, Perak.

The three winners of the Proton cars were Zulkarnin Ariffin from Rawang, Selangor; Halim Yaacob of Mantin, Negri Sembilan; and Mohd Riduan Jamaluddin from Puchong, Selangor.

Additionally, the bank also gave away a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to 51 weekly winners.

According to Bank Islam business director Khairul Kamarudin, the response to the campaign has been overwhelmingly positive with more than five million entries submitted by the bank’s 167,000 active cardmembers.

The winners were selected using a specialised draw engine based on the number of entries submitted

Khairul also said, “Cardmembers only need to perform a minimum spend of RM50 using their Bank Islam MasterCard/Visa Card-i to be eligible for the campaign. New card applicants with an approved minimum financing limit of RM1,000 automatically received an additional 20 entries.

“This also applied to applicants with the Retail Spread Value Plan (RSVP) approved amount of RM1,000 and approved Balance Transfer amount of RM1,000”.

“This campaign is one of our ways of showing appreciation to our cardmembers for their support,” Khairul added.

In the coming months of Ramadan and Shawal, Bank Islam will be offering BIC Souq Ramadhan specials, which will be available at selected hotels and restaurants.

The Bank will also embark on “Card Usage Campaign” for both credit and debit cardmembers where gift vouchers will be awarded to top spenders as well as those who achieve the highest transaction figures.

For the gadget lovers, the bank has lined up a special instalment payment plan for them at selected IT and electrical stores.

Additionally, cardmembers will also get to do their bit for the betterment of the society during Ramadan as 0.3% of each retail transaction will be channelled to Bank Islam’s Amal Jariah fund for charity.

This is in line with the bank’s belief in rewarding its customers and at the same time enabling them to help the less fortunate.

“It is our hope that all those campaigns and offers will enable our cardmembers to have an even more enjoyable festive season,” Khairul explained.
