Sacrificing the trees to preserve tombstones


GEORGE TOWN: Eighty trees will be cut down during the second phase of restoration works at the historic Protestant Cemetery in Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah here.

According to George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI), which is providing the funds, the trees will be removed as they are a danger to the aged tombstones below.
