KUCHING: Cable thefts throughout the state, including those placed underground have cost Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) millions of ringgit in losses annually.
Adding to this, state TM general manager Abdul Rahim Mohd Ali said intangible losses in terms of disruptions of service and inconvenience to the public could not be accounted for. According to him, these cases mainly occurred in the outskirts of Kuching, Sibu and Miri.
