INTEGRATED power technology company, Pestech International Berhad hosted 90 children from Rumah Amal Kasih Bestari to a buka puasa treat recently.

The girls received headscarves and brooches while the boys received butang baju Melayu and a sarong each for Hari Raya.

All 90 children also received a toy each.

Rumah Alam Kasih Bestari, located in Kampung Melayu Subang, was founded in September 2007 and houses children aged from eight months to 18 years old who are orphans or from poor families.

The home was chosen because it is located only 4km from Pestech’s headquarters.

Before dinner, the children were entertained by a clown whose antics kept them in stitches.

Home volunteer Saibah Mustaffa said some of the children missed their parents very much during Ramadan.

“We are grateful when the children are invited to events organised specially for them.

“We want to thank Pestech for sharing the festive cheer with them,” she said.

Pestech employees also presented some essential goods and festive items to the home.

Pestech chief executive officer Paul Lim said the buka puasa treat was to ensure the less fortunate were not forgotten during Ramadan.

“We want to do our part in contributing towards the welfare of these deserving children.”

Those who want to host the children can call Ustaz Ghazali at 016 -251 6515.
