‘Halal’ and liquor don’t mix, food outlets warned

KUCHING: Two outlets offering Ramadan buffets have been issued with a stern warning for misleading Muslims into thinking that the food is halal.

Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry state director Wan Ahmad Uzir Wan Sulaiman said the offence committed was very clear when one of the outlets displayed a liquor advertisement together with buffet prices on its banner.
