Committee members of 100-year-old temple on hunger strike

SRI MUNESWARAR KALIYAMMAN temple committee members have been on hunger strike since 6am yesterday to protest against the demolition of any part of the place of worship.

The 100-year-old temple, which is located at the intersection of Jalan Tengah and Jalan P. Ramlee in Kuala Lumpur, was issued a notice by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) on July 16 to vacate the temple in five days to facilitate the demolition, upon receiving a court order.
