SELANGOR Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim has rubbished claims that the state government has awarded RM2mil worth of contracts for Hari Raya hampers without going through its open tender policy for the past three years.
“There were some contracts worth under RM50,000 that were awarded through direct tender between 2008 and 2009 but in the following years, everything was done by the book and the records are there for anyone to see,” he said during a press conference after a special meet-the-people programme in Gombak yesterday.
