Prevailing hot weather sees major timber firms stepping up productions

KUCHING: Dry weather has boosted Sarawak’s log production as most of the major timber companies have beefed up their harvesting activities this year.

In the first five months, Jaya Tiasa Holdings Bhd (JTiasa) and its sister company Subur Tiasa Holdings Bhd (Subur) as well as Lingui Developments Bhd (Lingui) have all reported a steep increase in their log outputs.
