Clubs bid for record with green bags

IT was a sea of green at the Giant hypermarket in Bayan Baru, Penang, when 300 volunteers from Rotary Clubs in Malaysia (District 3300), all sporting green T-shirts, helped distribute 4,800 reusable bags to shoppers there.

The volunteers, comprising Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, their families and friends came in full support of the Rotary Club’s nationwide ‘I Choose To Reuse’ campaign which involved the distribution of 200,000 reusable bags simultaneously at 27 Giant hyper-markets nationwide by 74 Rotary Clubs.
