KUCHING: A second wave of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) outbreak may occur during the mid-year school break and Gawai Dayak holidays, warns the Sarawak Health Department.
The total number of cases reported from Jan 1 to May 19 was 6,365, with Kuching recording the highest number at 2,303 cases in that period of time. The number of weekly re-ported cases has continued to show a decline with 299 cases reported during the current week compared to 343 cases the previous week.
