Dutch gather to celebrate Queen’s Day

DUTCH citizens from various parts of the country gathered to celebrate Queen’s Day, in honour of Queen Beatrix and the monarchy.

Queen’s Day or Koninginnedag is a widely celebrated occasion in the Netherlands as it is the official celebration of the Queen’s birthday. The national day celebration is dubbed as the biggest event in the country with Amsterdam packed with revellers and turning into a sea of orange.
