KUCHING: Sarawak MTUC is disappointed that the minimum wage as recommended by the National Wages Consultative Council (NWCC) is lower for the state compared to Peninsular Malaysia.
Its chairman, Mohamad Ibrahim Hamid, said the rate was “not fair” as the cost of living in Sarawak was 15% to 25% higher than in the peninsula.
