Kelantanese affair in Penang

IT was a sea of red at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) when more than 10,000 students, staff and Kelantan team supporters clad in red gathered to watch the Kelantan versus Kedah football match live on the four giant screens.

The field next to the Tuanku Syed Putra Hall was transformed into a carnival-like atmosphere with stalls and booths selling Kelantan signature items such as ‘wau’ and ‘batik sarong’. Speakers set up all around blared out Kelantanese folk songs.
