Vasanthi finds gratification turning lives around

CHAMPIONING women’s issues is Datin Vasanthi Ramachan-dran’s forte. She firmly believes that if a woman is empowered, the family is taken care of.

Vasanthi’s journey to fight for the rights of women began as a student in Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang, when she joined a Unicef-funded project under her former lecturer Prof Datuk Dr Wazir Jahan Karim, who was responsible for introducing her to international women’s rights.
