First World beat Awana to retain inter-hotel football title


FAVOURITES First World Hotel bounced back strongly from a goal down before they prevailed with a 3-1 victory over Awana to retain their title at the seventh Inter-Hotel Champions Cup football tournament at Pancaroma Sports Complex in Putrajaya recently.

In the all-Genting affair vying for the 100Plus Cup and Tourism Malaysia challenge trophy, the defending champions First World were forced to produce a fighting display when the 2008 runners-up Awana shot ahead through Sharizal Zainal Abidin as early as the second minute.
