Screening of illegal factories carried out


The Selangor government has carried out an illegal factory-screening programme to ensure agricultural status of the land is changed to industrial use.

New village development and solution for unlicensed factories committee chairman Ean Yong Hian Wah said the screening was done until May last year when out of 2,250 lots, 1,021 were asked to change their land status from agricultural to industrial use.
