GEORGE TOWN: The country’s crime index has seen a decline in the first two months of the year compared to the same period last year.
The index has shown a 15.4% drop, from 26,719 cases to 22,596 and this is largely due to the public’s participation with the police to combat crime, said Internal Security and Public Order director Comm Datuk Salleh Mat Rasid.
