Number of reported HFMD cases jumps, says Health Department

KUCHING: The decline in hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) cases reported in the state has reversed, with the number of new cases increasing abruptly to 167 yesterday from 49 on Monday.

A statement from the Sarawak Health Department’s HFMD operations room here, said the increase might be due to the clinics being closed during the weekend while schools and kindergartens were also closed.
