BARAM: A total of 113,495 poor students in Sarawak are eligible to receive about RM25.5mil allocated under a poor students trust fund “Kumpulan Wang Amanah Pelajar Miskin” (KWAPM) this year.
“This is the manifestation of Barisan Nasional’s policy to educate all Malaysians whether they are in town or rural areas. Everyone should have access to quality education,” said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin during a special gathering of about 2,000 teachers and local people at the newly completed RM78mil SMK Tinjar in Lapok here.
