PARKING metres on the Penang island have been reprogrammed to accept the new coins introduced by Bank Negara.
Penang Municipal Councillor Ong Ah Teong said the 10, 20 and 50 sen coins, which have been in circulation since Jan 16, could be used in parking metres at the MPPP designated parking lots.
