MIRI: A police inspector was charged in the Sessions Court in Miri yesterday with two separate counts of corruption.
Inspector S. Wikkram, from the Miri Police Anti Narcotics unit, was accused of accepting bribes amounting to RM1,500 and RM500 each on two separate occasions from a businessman, Sim Chiew Chai, as an inducement not to take action against Sim for possession of contraband cigarettes and liquor.
