GIANT-SIZED thnee kong poh (offerings for the Jade Emperor in the form of folded gold- coloured paper) are being snapped up by the Hokkien community in Penang who will celebrate Thnee Kong Seh (the Jade Emperor’s birthday) on Monday.
Prayer paraphernalia trader G.H. Teh said many customers had placed orders for the thnee kong poh that came in the shapes of pineapple and yuen bao ta (pagoda).
