MALACCA: The police will focus on enforcement and will not hesitate to issue summonses on the spot to traffic offenders returning to their hometowns for the Chinese New Year holidays.
State police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye said the soft approach used earlier did not manage to reduce the accident rate in the state during festive periods.
