MALACCA: After bouncing back to good times in 2008 following a 40-year lean spell, local basketball has been boosted following Malacca’s capture of the Piala Agong National Inter State tournament honours for a fourth consecutive year in early January.
At the Ipoh Indera Mulia Indoor Stadium hosted meet, Malacca defeated arch-rivals Johore 84-78 in the finals while at the same time gaining sweet revenge for its earlier 55-72 loss to their southern neighbours in an preliminary round encounter.
