KUCHING: The operations to rescue beggars and bums from the street will continue to be carried out in every division.
Welfare, Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah said the operation, which was carried out by the state Welfare Department periodically, had so far managed to rescue 37 beggars statewide between 2009 and this year.
