CHAR koay teow seller Chew Ai Imm’s friends and neighbours back in her Kuala Sepetang hometown in Perak got together to sponsor her fresh prawns and cockles when they found out she was taking part in a cooking competition.
Chew, 33, who was touched with the gesture, said she would do her best in the coming ‘Battle of Penang Hawkers Masters’ event at the Penang Times Square to make her friends and villagers proud of her.
