THE rain did not dampen the atmosphere of celebration among OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Bhd business partners as they took part in the bank’s annual dinner recently.
Held at the Hilton Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the guests arrived, resplendent in black and gold, to enjoy a party aptly themed A Gracious Gracias Night with OCBC.
As they sat down to a five-course banquet, the guests were treated to a unique sand art performance epitomising the rich tapestry of the bank’s history and origins.
It was presented by self-taught Malaysian sand artist Loong Bee.
The memorable evening was emceed by popular celebrity Xandria Ooi and featured performances by talented beauty queen Soo Wincci who delighted the audience with her rendition of popular ballads as well as her own compositions in various languages.
To cap off the evening, guests were bedazzled by a lively and energetic belly dance performance led by an OCBC employee as the dance troupe twirled in and out between tables in their sparkling and colourful costumes.
OCBC investment banking head Tan Ai Chin said the dinner marked the latest in the bank’s tradition of expressing its gratitude to its business partners for their much valued and appreciated support.
“It gives us so much joy to end the year with a great event, which is our way of saying thank you or “gracias” to our customers for their steadfast and unwavering support.
“We are very proud of our partnership with our business associates which has strengthened and flourished over time,” she said.
