Residents claim herb farm is being used for mining activities


THE state Islamic Affairs and Malay Customs Council will observe the progress of a proposed herb farm project on part of 3.44ha of Muslim cemetery reserve land next to Panorama Tambun Perdana in Ipoh.

The council’s chief executive officer, Dr Syed Omar Syarifuddin Syed Ikhsan said activities at the site would be monitored following claims by residents that the contractor of the proposed project is secretly conducting mining activities there.
