Johari: Existing laws insufficient to regulate new trend of housing development


KUCHING: Sarawak will tighten the laws to deal with new trend of housing development, like gated and guarded community, to protect interests of house buyers.

State Housing Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg (pic) said the Housing Developers (Control & Licensing ) Ordinance 1993 would be reviewed to also deal with properties with strata titles, and to check abandoned housing schemes.
