SHAH ALAM: The relocation of a Hindu temple to Section 23 near here, which sparked controversy among the residents, is expected to be completed by the end of January, said Selangor executive councillor Rodziah Ismail.
She said the decision to relocate the Sri Maha Mariamman temple from Section 19 was made after taking into account the views of all parties, including the temple management. Rodziah said the state government was now in the process of gazetting the 0.20-hectare temple land, belonging to the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), to a place of worship site.
