THE Ipoh City Council will promote sports tourism in the city with hopes of making it a major destination for sporting events.
Datuk Bandar Datuk Roshidi Hashim said Ipoh had the potential to host international sporting events with the existing sports facilities and with the increasing number of budget hotels mushrooming around the city.
