Artists show their reverence to God via Islamic calligraphy

LEARNING the art of writing Islamic alphabets or Jawi is nothing new to the 27 artists showcasing their art works at the Kalam 3 exhibition.

“We all learnt how to write in Jawi during our school days. Some of us picked it up in primary school while others in religious school,” said Nizam Rahmat who is featuring three of his art pieces in the show.
