KUALA TERENGGANU: Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) signed a memorandum of understanding each with a shipping and marine industry company, allowing these companies to tap into UMT’s expertise.
UMT Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Aziz Deraman said Iris Marine Sdn Bhd, which deals with aquaculture and resort islands, wanted the university’s expertise in lobster rearing while Global Carriers Bhd wanted to obtain UMT’s nautical science students for training and absorb them as employees.
