PEKAN: Construction of University Malaysia Pahang’s (UMP) permanent campus in Pekan, Pahang, was plagued by delays and changes of job scope causing the university to incur unnecessary costs, states the Auditor-General Report for 2010.
The report said UMP had spent RM116.46mil in rent to operate the temporary campus in Gambang and could have saved about RM26.31mil if the permanent campus had been completed on schedule.
