SIBU: Many insurance companies have stopped providing coverage for motorcycles claiming that they had suffered heavy losses after paying compensation for accidents and loss of the machines — both of which have increased in number.
For insurance companies which still provide coverage, they had either increased the premium amount or incurred additional accident coverage for the motorcycle owners, said Sarawak Central Region Bicycle & Motor Vehicles Association chairman, Tan Yii Chang, during the 55th anniversary celebration of his organisation.
