DESPITE facing many obstacles during his secondary school days, Yama Awang Kechik still managed to make his way to the university through sheer determination and never-say-die attitude.

Some of the obstacles that he had to face during his secondary school years included the time when he had to study with the aid of an oil lamp due to the absence of power supply.
