TRISTAN Cheng had to put up a gutsy display to retain the gold medal in the boys’ Under-12 foil event at the Singapore Mineme Fencing championships recently.
In the championships, held at the Jurong East Sports and Recreation Centre, Tristan was involved in an intense battle with teammate Syed Adam Emir Putra in the final. It was a close fight and Tristan edged Syed Adam 8-7.
