Authorities all out to curb illegal gambling activities in cyber cafes

KUANTAN: The state government is not too pleased with cyber cafe operators who allow illegal gambling activities at their premises instead of offering the public the convenience of easy access to information.

State Information, Science, Technology and Innovation Committeechairman Datuk Mohd Sharkar Shamsuddin said cyber cafes were now seen as a necessity as the public could gain access to information through the Internet.
