KOTA KINABALU: A sticky native customary land issue in Sabah’s northern Kota Marudu between villagers and a company agency has been resolved ending years of a long-drawn-out land accusation problem.
Community leaders from 50 villages in Tandek and Matunggong accepted a settlement by the state government to give up their native customary rights (NCR) land to Begaraya Sdn Bhd and Sabah Forestry Department Authority (Safoda) for forest plantation.
