SANDAKAN: Sabah will always remember with deep gratitude the sacrifices of the Allied Forces who fought to liberate the state from the Japanese occupation in World War II.
“Some who fought that noble goal paid the ultimate price with their life and their comrades will bear the scars of both in body and mind until the end of their days,” Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman said in the unveiling of Sandakan Liberation Monument at Sandakan Municipal Council Square here.
