MIRI: Modification of roads, application of motorist-calming features, and installation of adequate street lamps are some of the initiatives for decreasing the number of road accidents especially during the balik kampung period this coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
With regards to these, the new Police Commissioner, DCP Datuk Mortadza Nazarene, had urged the Sarawak Road Safety Department (JKJR), Public Works Department, Sesco and the police to improve roads especially the accident-prone stretches.
