Big piracy ring smashed with RM1mil disc haul

BUTTERWORTH: One of the biggest pirated optical disc manufacturing syndicates in Penang has been crippled with the seizure of items worth over RM1mil.

The state Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumer Affairs enforcement team raided a shophouse in Bandar Sunway, Seberang Jaya, at noon yester-day, after three weeks’ surveillance.
