GEORGE TOWN: The Ramadan bazaar at the Masjid Imar Ibnu Al-Khattab went on smoothly on the first day of fasting despite a protest by the mosque panel members barely 24 hours ago.
Several members of the mosque committee gathered on Sunday and protested against the Penang Municipal Council for issuing permits to the Mayang Pasir local community security and development committee, allowing other traders to set up stalls outside the mosque’s compound.
