Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak will officiate the “Halal Transformation Programme” for the Halal industry at Markas 4 Briged, Kem Batu 10 in Kuantan, Pahang at 4pm on the second day. The two-day event starts today, jointly organised by the HDC and Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) and will be opened to the public from 9am-6pm and a crowd of over 30,000 is expected. The HTP — the first of its kind for the halal industry aims to gather and encourage Halal industry players, existing and potential, to build stronger relationships through industry engagement and promotional initiatives .
The stretch of road from KM9 (Indera Mahkota Residential Area) to KM10 (Intersection of SM Indera Mahkota 2) Kuantan–Sg. Lembing Road (FT231), Kuantan in Pahang is closed to traffic until August 30 for a duration of two and half months. This is to facilitate road construction and the widening of roads. Drivers are requested to be careful and to follow the road signs and instructions.
