MORE than 1,000 recyclable bags were given out to residents of flats in the Bukit Jambul area, Penang, in conjunction with the state’s ‘Cleaner, Greener Penang’ programme.
Some 60 volunteers went to a total of 1,200 units of flats in the area to give away the bags to encourage residents not to use plastic bags.
